The Traditional Dayak Longhouse: A Living Legacy
One of the most distinctive features of Dayak culture is the longhouse, known locally as ‘betang’. These architectural marvels are communal dwellings that can stretch up to 150 meters in length, elevated on wooden stilts to protect against seasonal flooding and wild animals. Entire clans or extended families live under one roof, fostering a deep sense of unity and communal cooperation.

Days 1
Airport – Kumai – Proboscis Tour – Houseboat (L, D)
Upon your arrival in Pangkalan Bun Airport, meeting service with our staff and guide then direct transfer to Kumai. It will take about 20 minutes. Upon your arrival in Kumai direct transfer to the houseboat, Lunch will provided On board. Afterward boating down Kumai River approximately 15 minutes to reach Seikonyer River, the main river in Tanjung Puting National Park.
Cruise up the seikonyer river you will see nice vegetation around the river bank, Nipa Palm, Pandanus, and some kind of trees that growing up around the river. See some wildlife such as birds, Macaque, Proboscis Monkey and Orangutan, if the time still permitted you will visit Orangutan feeding in Tanjung Harapan at 15.00 PM. Then At 16.00 return back to the boat and continue boating up to observe and learning more about Proboscis monkeys along the river banks. Proboscis monkeys are being endemic animal that can be seen only in Borneo. Dinner and Overnight in the Deluxe or Super Deluxe Houseboat.(L,D)
After breakfast, boating up to reach Pondok Tanggui, the second rehabilitation center for the orangutan. Visit the Orangutan feeding 09.00 AM, enjoy your time while take some pictures. Then at 10.00 AM return back to the houseboat and continue boating up to Camp Leakey.
Camp Leakey is the highlight of National Park. You will be passing by the black river which is full of wildlife within such as
many kind of birds, primates, fish, also crocodiles. Lunch will be served by our own cook
with special various food. On arrival in Camp Leakey, trekking up into the forest to see orangutan feeding, enjoy the time till 16.00 back to the boat and boating down direct to the Nipa Palm area to see thousand fireflies. Dinner and overnight in the houseboat.
Days 2
Houseboat – Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey – Houseboat.(B,L,D)
Days 3
Houseboat – Kumai – Lopus Dayak Village. (B,L,D)
Early Morning, breakfast on board direct transfer to Lopus Village by private Car. It will take around 5 hours. Lunch will provide en route in the local restaurant. Upon your arrival in Lopus Village sightseeing around the village, free program in the afternoon. In the evening after dinner you will welcome by the Dayak Tomun with their Bagondang ceremony. Here you might allow to dance with the Dayak people while they will serve you with the rice wine. Enjoy the ceremony and back to
the longhouse / local house for sleeping.
After breakfast drive up to Muhur Village, it is the starting point to do trekking. It take for 1 hour drive from Lopus Village. Upon your arrival in Muhur Village continue trekking up into the forest. Here you will experience and enjoy the life in the oldest primary forest in Borneo. You will pass by several small rivers that floating down from the main forest. The water here are very clean and you could take Mandi or swim on very sallow river. On arrival on the place you will spend a night, your porter and guide will set up a tent while the cook will provide your lunch. Dinner and overnight in the forest on a tent
Days 4
Lopus Dayak Vilage - trekking up into the Primary forest – Overnight on the tent in the Forest (B, L, D)
Days 5
Tent – Muhur – Kudangan – Pangkalan Bun – Hotel (B, L, D)
After breakfast trekking up to the water fall and swimming there.
Enjoy your time till we return back to Muhur area where we parking our private car. Then continue drive back to Kudangan and Pangkalan Bun for another 5 hours. Lunch will be served en route in the local restaurant. On arrival in Pangkalan Bun direct
transfer to the hotel. Dinner is under your own budged and overnight in the hotel.
Breakfast in the hotel and free on your leisure before we transfer you up to the Airport for your next destination. End of the Tour.

We loved staying on your Klotok and being able to sleep on the deck and having the feeling of being in the wild and hearing all the animals at night and early morning.
The Crew were wonderful, and our tour guide Hani was so knowledgeable and interesting. The food on board was in abundance and so fresh and tastey we loved everything the cook made for us! We saw so many Orangutans it was amazing to see them so close in the wild and to see the other wildlife in the park.
We wish we had stayed longer, but will definately be returning and we highly recommend your tour to Tanjung National Park and Camp Leakey.

The trip exceeded all expectations
When we contacted you a year ago you answered all our questions and helped us with booking flights. Our family with two children (6 and 2 years old) came to you in July 2019 and went on a trip for three nights on your deluxe boat. The trip exceeded all expectations. Agus, our guide, was very competent and kind, and so was his crew. Our children were taken care of in the best possible way. The food was fantastic. Every day Agus took us to see orangutans, and he always knew when and were to go to get the best experience. The night that we celebrated our wedding day the crew did their best to find fire flies.
The children still talk about Agus, his crew, the orangutans and all the other things we experienced. We are all thankful for all we learned and experienced on this trip.
